About

I've loved art my whole life and I explored many artistic mediums before I found my home in watercolor. With a BFA in graphic design, I spent several years as a designer but felt creatively stifled by the increasing amount of digital work I was doing. Everything felt formulaic and tedious, and I missed the playfulness of creating something with my hands. When I left my design job in 2018, I wasn't sure what I'd do next - I just knew it wouldn't involve hours staring at a screen adjusting font sizes and image resolution.

Eventually I started experimenting with watercolors, drawing inspiration from the beauty of my home state. My artistic style is heavily influenced by my love for the work of Mark Rothko and Piet Mondrian (color! clean lines! basic shapes!). I feel so lucky to have channeled my creativity into a career that I love, and am so grateful for the ability to share my passion with others. My art can be found in over 30 shops throughout Michigan, as well as on Etsy, Faire, and at seasonal pop-up markets. In addition to my work as an independent artist, I’m active in community outreach & public art projects, including creating murals, seasonal window art, and the Lansing area’s first Free Little Art Gallery.

About my process

Each of my pieces is painted using a tiny paintbrush and highly pigmented watercolor, then digitally edited and printed on a fine art printer using archival paper and HD inks. I’m a one-woman show, so your orders are received, created, packaged and shipped by yours truly. I pride myself on producing high quality handmade goods that bring joy to each and every customer.
